Additionally, producing in Iceland and Sweden grants them access to locally available materials, particularly water.

Unlike other brands, eicó paint production does not contribute to water scarcity around the world. By using recycled materials for binders and other ingredients, they also minimize waste even before the product reaches the consumers. eicó strives for fresher air and the lowest possible net emissions. Interestingly, their paint absorbs CO2 during the drying process. Under ideal drying conditions, the paint sold in Hong Kong alone absorbs approximately 250 kilograms of carbon dioxide per year.
